Jeff Gans Releases Northwest Round Robin Field

SAMMAMISH, WASH.—Jeff Gans, Director of Forensics at Eastside Catholic, is pleased to announce the field for the fourth Northwest Round Robin, which will be held this Sunday following the University of Puget Sound tournament. The NWRR aims to bring together the best debaters and judges in the region for a relaxing, fun, and challenging event that offers lots of practice and feedback. Last year’s iteration ended with Mercer Island’s Nick Blanchette and Annie Wright’s Sonia Vora being declared co-champions.

The LD division features six rounds breaking to finals, with each debater facing all but one competitor and teammates constrained from hitting one another. There will also be a mid-day discussion and workshop led by Steven Adler on the role of theory in shaping the future norms of Northwest debate. Last year’s rounds and lecture by Becca Traber were well-attended, and we hope to repeat the performance by having all RR events  open to debaters in the area.
