Nikhil Nag Wins MBA

Nikhil and coach, Chris Catteron, hoist the iconic first-place Montgomery Bell Academy trophy. (Yes, that’s a canon from the Civil War era—and it’s pointed to the North.)

Congratulations to Nikhil Nag and Daniel Tartakosky for advancing to the MBA Round Robin demonstration debate, which matches up the top two competitors after eleven rounds of competition. Nikhil’s coaches are Chris Catterton, Ilya Gaidarov, Daniel Garber, and Daniel Moerner; Daniel is coached by Samantha Weiss and Chris Theis.

Nikhil, Daniel, and Noah Star tied for first place with 16 ballots each (out of 22 total), and by virtue of sweeping both Daniel and Noah, Nikhil placed first! (He also defeated Daniel in the demonstration debate, but the first tiebreaker is head to head.)
