TOC Time Machine: View packets from 2001 – 2013

UPDATE: The packets for 2009 – 2013 are available online, but for the convenience of the readers of the Update (and the users of the Time Machine) I’ve posted them here for quicker access.

– ed.

Since about 2009, most tournament results packets have been posted online in some electronic format. Prior to that, however, the only way one could obtain a packet was to attend a tournament and take the packet from the ballot envelope.

In an effort to keep history alive, NSD Update has obtained and scanned TOC results packets from years prior to the advent of electronic posting. Of course, it’s fun to look back and see how the now old and decrepit denizens of the debate community performed when they were in their prime. And, these packets reflect the fascinating history of national circuit debate over the last decade.

We would be very interesting in publishing *additional* packets. If you have any old TOC packets sitting around in a file drawer or ballot envelope somewhere, contact Dave McGinnis to arrange to preserve that bit of history:

where is the 2002 packet? i really want to see that one!

    • Unless someone moved it, it is sitting on the floor of Room 232 at Humboldt High School in St. Paul, where I dropped it as I was moving out in 2005.

Now that I think about it, someone has probably moved it.
